OOMPH Blue is one of three colour combinations that have been recreated from archives and old sketches. Great skill requires to once again be able to print a pattern like this one, from 1952.

Viola Gråsten
Viola Gråsten (1910-1994)
Viola Gråsten, the textile designer, came to Sweden from Finland in 1945 and soon aroused great interest and attention with her modern, long-pile rugs and revolutionary textile patterns.
She was one of the artist behind "Signerad Textil" and we at Ljungberg's have her pattern FESTIVO from before.
Now we can also offer you OOMPH. In its original version the pattern of winding triangles were printed in a robust cotton quality and became one of our so called "all-purpose-materials". When after many years of dreams we at Ljungberg's at last have the opportunity of handprinting OOMPH again, we have chosen pure linen for this design. The linen is useful both as furnishing fabric and curtains. The three colour schemes blue, grey/yellow and brown are taken from our old archive files and are based on Viola Gråsten's own originals.
